4 teens hit by gunfire, 1 teen arrested in connection to Boardman shooting

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Boardman Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning.

Officers were called about 12:37 a.m. to 180 Stadium Drive on reports of multiple gunshots.

Evidence of a shooting was found in the rear lot of an apartment building, and police said gunshots struck the apartment building at 180 Stadium Drive, however, no one at that address was injured.

A short time later, two gunshot victims, both 17 years old, were driven by friends to Mercy Health. Both were seriously injured.

A third juvenile victim was grazed by gunfire and was not seriously hurt.

One neighbor who didn’t want to go on camera told First News that he saw two cars speed away after hearing gunshots.

Police say a juvenile girl was arrested Monday in connection to the shooting on charges of attempted murder and felonious assault.

The suspect was also treated for a gunshot wound to her shoulder.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible, according to police.

Boardman police and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) are investigating.
