WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Boardman man accused of fighting with Liberty police on Easter is out of the hospital and in the Trumbull County Jail.

William McCawley, 36, was arraigned in Girard Municipal Court Monday morning. He’s being held on $15,000 bond and was ordered house arrest should he post it.

McCawley is facing several charges including robbery, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest stemming from a disturbance at the Rodeway Inn on April 21.

According to a police report, McCawley struggled with officers by kicking and punching as they tried to arrest him. The report says he continued to fight with police even after he was tased and pepper-sprayed.
