AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police are investigating after a man was stabbed at a local dental office Friday.

According to a police report, a man was stabbed three times in the leg in the parking lot of a dental office in the 5600 block of Mahoning Avenue in Austintown just before 11 a.m. Friday.

Reports say when officers arrived, one officer made eye contact with suspect Jawwaad Pusey before he drove away.

Police chased Pusey through Austintown until Pusey eventually pulled over and stopped on the 700 block of N. Meridian Road. There, Pusey surrendered himself to police, according to the police report.

At the dental office, when police approached the victim, he said, “Jawwaad Pusey stabbed me,” reports say.

Police saw blood pouring down the leg of the victim and three stab wounds. Police tended to the victim on the scene until EMS arrived.

The victim said Pusey stabbed him with a kitchen knife with a black handle.

Pusey faces charges of felonious assault and failure to comply. His bond is set at $12,000.

Pusey is due in court at 1:30 p.m. Monday for his arraignment.
