AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol releasing the results from Friday night’s OVI checkpoint on Mahoning Avenue in Austintown.
The two-hour checkpoint and saturation patrols were conducted by Austintown Police and the patrol’s Canfield post from 10 p.m. to midnight in the area of Raccoon Road.
According to the statistics, 160 vehicles went through the checkpoint, while two were diverted for further investigation.
Out of that, one driver was arrested for OVI, marijuana possession and child endangering, as the driver’s 3-month-old son was in the vehicle with him at the time.
Two others were arrested for OVI during the patrols.
