Weathersfield Township trustees have named a new fire chief to replace Randy Pugh, who lost his battle with cancer earlier this month.
Assistant Fire Chief Ken Boring was promoted to chief.
Boring has been a firefighter since 1964 and was the Mineral Ridge fire chief in 1982.
He joined the Weathersfield Fire Department in 1999.
