YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – An arson investigator has been called in to look into a garage fire in Youngstown.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday on the west side on North Brockway Avenue. The home and garage belong to Youngstown write-in mayoral candidate Amber White.

Flames and smoke severely damaged the garage as well as the siding on the rear of White’s home.

“This is just another obstacle that I am going to have to overcome. It makes me stronger in the end. It’s not going to deter us from this election at all,” White said.

First responders were on the scene within minutes and said thankfully no one was hurt.

They said an arson investigator will look into it.
