CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Angels for Animals took in 26 cats at their facility on Friday.
According to a post on their Facebook page, 18 of them were dropped off from the same place. They said nine of the kittens were dropped off in cardboard boxes that were taped shut.
While donations and fostering can help, Angels for Animals said it is not enough. The shelter strongly encourages getting pets and strays spayed and neutered.
“It’s worth it because then it stops those animals from being born just to be unwanted, just to suffer, which is what this is really all about. It’s to end suffering,” said founder Diane Less.
The facility is currently running their Show Us the Mommy program, where mother can be fixed for $40 and their kittens can be fixed for $10.
