Amazon says North Jackson facility will be part of last-mile delivery

Officials at Amazon told WKBN 27 First News that their new delivery station in North Jackson will create hundreds of work opportunities for businesses and independent contractors.  

Amazon announced this week they are opening a delivery station in North Jackson inside Youngstown Commerce Park.

The facility is expected to open this year.  

The facility will be part of Amazon’s last-mile-service for delivery options.

Amazon spokesperson Shone Jemmott said delivery stations enable Amazon Logistics to supplement delivery options for their growing number of orders. 

The North Jackson facility marks the fourth Delivery Station in Ohio utilizing Amazon Logistics, which allows flexibility in delivery options with independent or small business delivery providers.  

“The service offers small businesses the opportunity to deliver for Amazon as well as independent contractors the flexibility to be their own boss, create their own schedule and make $18 to $25 per hour delivering for Amazon. 

Jobs postings with North Jackson as the location have appeared on Indeed and on Amazon’s website. buy may not be all the opportunities they will become available.
