EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WKBN) – The East Palestine Street Fair kicked off Wednesday evening.

It’s four days of rides, games, food and live music downtown!

Linda Cunningham says her favorite part of the street fair is, of course, the food.

“I like sausage sandwiches the best and, of course, I like french fries and I like the big elephant ears, you know, stuff like that,” she said.

Cunningham encourages everyone to visit East Palestine, even when the fair isn’t happening.

“We’re just seeing a lot of people. I think everyone’s excited to be out. Excited, like you said, to see some smiles — not be masked up, not be so nervous,” said Madison Mullen with Shirley’s Steak Hoagies & Italian Sausage.

The street fair has been around since 1887.

It wasn’t held in 2020 because of the pandemic, but now it’s back.

It runs from 5-10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 5-11 p.m. on Friday and 1-11 p.m. on Saturday.
