(WKBN) – Spring allergy season is approaching.
The pollen count rises because of trees budding and flowers blooming.
You may experience itchy, watery eyes, nasal congestion, post-nasal drainage and sneezing.
Experts say if you’re an allergy sufferer, do your research before leaving the house.
“With the weather forecast, they’ll tell the pollen count in the morning, so that can be a gauge for patients to know if you are an allergy sufferer, how bad the day might be,” said Mercy Health Dr. Fareedah Goodwin-Capers.
Dr. Goodwin-Capers said over-the-counter antihistamines work best to treat allergies.
