WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) –  The three suspects arrested in connection to a deadly fire in Warren that killed a 16-year-old girl have been indicted by a Trumbull County grand jury.

Brendan Daviduk, Patricia Zarlingo, and Zackary Gurd were each indicted on eight counts including aggravated murder with aggravating circumstances specifications, attempted aggravated murder, aggravated arson and tampering with evidence.

“All three of these defendants face the potential of the death penalty, said Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Chrise Becker.

Zarlingo was arraigned Friday and pleaded not guilty. She will be back in court March 1.

Daviduk’s arraignment was continued until Monday so he can have time to retain a capital defense counsel.

Both are being held without bond in the Trumbull County Jail.

Gurd is in jail in Virginia. He left the area following the fire and arrived by bus in Richmond, Virginia. He was then tracked to Chester, Virginia where he was arrested.

Gurd will remain in custody in Virginia until he can be extradited to Warren.

“We will be bringing him back as soon as there’s a waiver or if he refused to waive the process, we would have to get a governor’s warrant, we’re prepared to go either way on Mr. Gurd,” Becker said.

Investigators believe Gurd set the fire that killed 16-year-old Chassidy Broadstone.
