3 arrested on drug charges during searches in Youngstown

James Edmonds, Roger Anderson and Jacqueline Mitchell, arrested during drug raids in Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Three suspects were arrested Wednesday during drug raids in Youngstown. 

With a warrant, officers searched a home in the 700 block of W. Laclede Ave. 

Police reported finding loaded guns, a digital scale, the drug Suboxone and $1,700 in cash.

James Edmonds, 33, was arrested as a result of that search. He was charged with having weapons while under disability and drug paraphernalia offenses. 

Police also searched a home in the 200 block of Superior St. 

Police said when officers arrived, they saw a vehicle pull into the driveway. A passenger got out and went into the house and got back into the car two minutes later, according to a police report. 

Officers stopped that vehicle on Highland Avenue and Jefferson Street. 

Police said they found crack cocaine in the car, near the passenger, 58-year-old Roger Anderson.

Anderson was charged with possession of drugs.

Police said a search of the home on Superior Street uncovered a digital scale, 20 bags of crack cocaine and $20 in cash. 

Jacqueline Mitchell, 68, was in the home at the time, according to the report. She was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
