A Cortland man and woman are facing charges for a reported robbery near Regal Cinema in Niles.

Just before 8 p.m. last Saturday, a 20-year-old Warren man called police, reporting that he was robbed by two people with guns while he was sitting in his car. He gave police a description of the vehicle used by the robbers.

Police said they located the car at North Road Tobacco and arrested the driver, 19-year-old Alyssa Corradetti, and a passenger, 19-year-old Austin Dunn.

Police said a loaded 9mm handgun was found under the driver’s seat and a backpack was found on the passenger floorboard. The bag was filled with pills, a digital scale and bags of suspected marijuana, according to a police report.

Police also reported finding another 9mm handgun between the passenger seat and center console. Another backpack was found in the trunk of the vehicle, and it contained $945 in cash and more bags of suspected marijuana, according to police.

The victim verified that Dunn and Corradetti were the people who robbed him, police said.

They were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

Dunn and Corradetti are being held in the Trumbull County Jail on $250,000 bonds, and they’re scheduled to appear in court on Monday for a preliminary hearing.
