WOLF CREEK TWP., Pa. (WKBN) – Two men from Los Angeles are in the Mercer County Jail following a traffic stop Wednesday night.

It happened on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township.

Alvaro Elenes, 44, and Gabriel Garcia, 26, were arrested.

Pennsylvania State Police say they found nearly 64 pounds of cocaine and fentanyl hidden in their car.

“The reality of it is that there is so much more that gets through that we can’t end up grabbing. It comes to the point where we grab one, and it almost becomes a promotional ceremony because someone else is ready to take over right where they left off,’ said Sgt. Larry McLaughlin.

Authorities say the street value of the drugs is at least $3.5 million.

Both suspects are in the Mercer County Jail on $500,000 bond.
