Fire rekindles at vacant house in Youngstown

News

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Youngstown Fire Department had to deal with the elements Saturday morning as they battled a rekindled fire.

Snow fell as crews worked to get the fire under control at a vacant house at 30 West Florida Avenue, on the corner of Florida and Market Street.

Firefighters arrived on scene Friday night to the original fire at 11:25.

Around 7:30 Saturday morning, embers in the basement caused the fire to rekindle. Crews didn’t have any issues getting the fire under control a second time.

There were no injuries or transports and the fire is still under investigation.
