(WKBN) – Voters have chosen a candidate to replace Trumbull County’s longtime Auditor Adrian Biviano, who is retiring.

Republican Martha Yoder received the majority of the vote, defeating Democrat Tod Latell by a narrow margin, according to unofficial voting returns.

It will be the first time that someone new will be leading the office since 2006, when Biviano was first appointed to the position.

“I’m just very excited to get started to work for Trumbull County,” Yoder said. “I said that good enough is no longer good enough for Trumbull County, and I think that tonight showed that — all across the board.”

Yoder previously served on the county’s transit board and as a Farmington Township trustee. She also owns her own business, Yoder Supported Living Services.

Yoder said her three main goals are to improve accessibility, transparency and fiscal responsibility.
