Why I should be elected
For the past year and a half, I have worked hard for the citizens of the City of Hermitage by supporting measures that have held the line on taxes, maintained the high quality of city services, protected neighborhoods, and fixed streets. I’ve had a very successful term as Hermitage Commissioner, but my job isn’t done. We still have problems to overcome and a better future for all citizens to achieve.

Top three priorities
1) Make Hermitage more competitive for new jobs, residents, and industry.

2) See the City of Hermitage Comprehensive Plan through and be a part of major changes to zoning and city ordinances.

3) Work hard to fill available, vacant land with new businesses that will bring family-sustaining jobs to Hermitage.

As the great-grandson of Eastern European immigrants, Michael T. Muha takes great pride in being the first attorney on both his mother’s and his father’s side of the family. He was born in Greenville and raised in Hermitage, where he went to school in the Hermitage School District. He became the first Academic Games Leagues of America National Champion in Hickory High School history, winning a National Title in the game World Events in his sophomore year at Kissimmee, Florida.

After graduating from Hickory High School in 2002, Michael attended Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. In 2006, Michael attended The American University, where he earned a Master of Arts degree in Political Science – American Politics. Then in 2011, Michael earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University.

Michael is a member of the Board of Directors of the Community Counseling Center of Mercer County, the Shenango Valley Urban League, MCAR, Shenango Valley Meals on Wheels, and the Children’s Aid Society of Mercer County.
