Warren crime activity: Police say checks stolen from Salvation Army

Tuesday, March 5

12:13 p.m. - 200 block of Franklin St. SE, reported theft of checks from Salvation Army. The captain of Salvation Army said a check for $400 was cashed and eight other checks were missing.

Thursday, March 7

11 a.m. - 200 block of Monroe St. NW, a woman reported arriving home to find her apartment door ajar and items moved around. She said nothing appeared to be missing. 

1:16 p.m. - 1100 block of Oak St. SW, reported home burglary. Police said it is believed that the burglar entered through a kitchen window. 

3:20 p.m. - 700 block of Buckeye St. NW, a man reported that some of his Ocycodone pills were stolen. He said his caretaker had been alone in his apartment before he noticed the medication was missing. 

9:20 p.m. - 800 block of W. Market St., a woman reported that she was assaulted by a suspect as she was giving him a ride. She said the man took her phone and ran after the assault, so she went to the Sunoco gas station to call police. 

9:45 p.m. - 200 block of Homewood Ave. SE, a man reported that someone took the TV from his house while he was at the store. He said he left the door unlocked. He reported that several people from the neighborhood told him that a man with facial tattoos was trying to sell a TV near the Big Apple convenience store.
