Warren crime activity: Fight between 6 people escalated to stabbing, police say

Friday, December 28

7:05 p.m. - 200 block of Vermont Ave. NW, Madelyn Jenkins, 26, of Cleveland, and Arthur Stoutamire, 30, both arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. Police found the victim, shivering in the cold, wearing just his underwear. He told them Jenkins and Stoutamire robbed him at gunpoint and made him take his clothes off. Officers said they found the vehicle involved, with a pile of clothes on the hood. Police found Jenkins inside the car and Stoutamire inside of a nearby home, according to a report.

Sunday, December 30

6:55 p.m. - Main Avenue SW and W. Market Street, David Rhine, 37, arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia, aggravated trafficking, endangering children and having weapons under disability. During a traffic stop, police said Rhine had a knife, gun, meth pipe and over $800 cash on him. Inside the car, they found a digital scale, nine grams of a crystal-like substance and another gun, according to a report. Police say he also had a child in the car.

Monday, December 31

2:29 p.m. - 100 block of Porter St. NE, a woman told police two people beat her up inside of an apartment she was staying at before taking cash from her wallet.

10:56 p.m. - 2200 block of Peace Ave. NW, police responded to a fight in an apartment complex parking lot between neighbors. One of the neighbors accused the other of getting him evicted, according to a police report. Police said six people were involved in the fight. They said one of the men grabbed a knife and stabbed another man during the fight.

Tuesday, January 1

3:30 a.m. - S. Feederle Drive, a woman said she was shot in the stomach as she walked on the sidewalk. Police arrived minutes after it happened but dispatchers said it took nearly 20 minutes for an ambulance to get there.

6:46 a.m. - 2400 block of Youngstown Rd. SE, reported break-in at Family Dollar.

Wednesday, January 2

9:30 a.m. - 1900 block of Coit Ave. NW, Learning Express Preschool reported that its bus had been damaged. Police said the driver's side window had been broken by someone throwing rocks at the bus. A mailbox across the street, belonging to Church of the Holy Spirit, was knocked over, police said.

2:36 p.m. - 3200 block of Surrey Rd. SE, First Baptist Church told police someone forged the treasurer's signature in order to cash a check.

2:51 p.m. - 1100 block of Central Pkwy. SE, reported home burglary.

5:51 p.m. - 500 block of Parkman Rd. SW, reported home burglary.

11:25 p.m. - 900 block of Perkinswood Blvd. SE, reported home burglary.

Thursday, January 3

6:37 a.m. - 1000 block of Roseway Ave. SE, reported car break-in.

8:07 a.m. - 2400 block of Youngstown Rd. SE, reported break-in at Family Dollar. Police said it looked like someone stole children's underwear and socks.

2:49 p.m. - 800 block of Mahoning Ave. NW, reported theft of catalytic converters from four vehicles at Rental Corral.
