Liberty crime activity: Officers find woman covered in blood after argument with child’s father

Monday, Jan. 21

12:04 a.m. – 4100 block of Logangate Rd., police say they got to the home where a woman was yelling at a man, “You beat me, you are going to jail.” She was found crying, sweating, and covered in blood. She told officers he beat her in front of their son. Tyquon Myers, 19, was charged with domestic violence.

5:45 p.m. – Belmont Avenue and Colonial Drive, officers say they pulled over a man for driving a car that dragged a piece of metal and made sparks on the roadway. Bryandon Rutland, 29, was charged with drug abuse, driving under an OVI suspension and operating an unsafe vehicle. Officers say they found a bag of marijuana during the stop. Rutland told police several times his father worked for the Youngstown Police Department.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

7:47 p.m. – Walmart at 200 Goldie Road. Officers say they were called to the Walmart to escort a former employee who was terminated. They say the employee had stolen money over an unknown period of time. 

Wednesday, Jan. 23

1:50 a.m. – 600 block of Churchill Hubbard Rd., officers say a 16-year-old was staying at Belmont Pines when she had an outburst and stole keys to the facility. They say she hid the keys in a body cavity and then ran away. They found the girl in front of the Hampton Inn on Belmont Avenue.
