Girard crime activity: Jewelry and sex toys taken during burglary

5:03 p.m. – 500 block of Hazel Avenue, police were dispatched for a burglary. According to the police report, the victim said someone entered her home and took a lamp, jewelry and sex toys. The victim also said all of the televisions in the home were disconnected. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.

5:14 p.m. – 100 block of Steel Street, police were contacted about an incident. Police said a woman came to the station stating that her juvenile son got in an argument with his father, who has full custody of him. According to the report, the father caught the son smoking marijuana and yelled at him. The woman said her son heard his father go downstairs, open a cabinet and make a sound like loading a round into a shotgun.
