12:28 a.m. – 400 block of Gardendale St., reported suspicious activity. A woman reported being chased in her car by a tall, thin man after dropping someone off at a house. She said he was wearing a black jacket and red hat.
Wednesday, Feb. 27
8:03 a.m. – 300 block of W. 5th St., reported disturbance. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had urinated on her clothes in her upstairs bedroom. The woman stated she had given him a three-day eviction notice but that he refused to take any of his property, according to a police report.
Thursday, Feb. 28
10:22 a.m. – 300 block of Garfield St., Joseph Davis, 33, and Kylee Davis, 31, both charged with endangering children and obstructing official business. East Liverpool police and the Columbiana County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on a house. As the team was getting ready to go into the house, Kylee shouted from an upstairs window, “SWAT! SWAT! Here they come!” before running into the bathroom, according to a police report. When police tried ordering her to come out, she kept refusing and said she was “sh**ting,” the report states. Joseph was found on the first floor and refused to listen to police when they told him to get on the ground, the report also says. Police noted that they found suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia throughout the house, along with a 14-year-old boy who was home at the time of the search.
5:47 p.m. – 200 block of Pennsylvania Ave., Shawn Boyle, 27, charged with possession of marijuana. Knowing Boyle had a suspended driver’s license, police pulled him over when they saw him driving, according to a police report. Boyle admitted to having a small bag of marijuana on him, the report states.
Friday, March 1
4:43 p.m. – 800 block of Chester Ave., reported theft. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had stolen her dog, a brown and white puppy, while she was at work. The woman also told police they had bought the dog together.
8:54 p.m. – 2000 block of Lisbon St., Todd Hawthorne, 36, charged with possession of marijuana. Police discovered Hawthorne had active warrants after checking his information during a traffic stop. Despite telling police he had never been in trouble for drugs, he admitted to having marijuana in his front pocket, and police also found suspected cocaine in another one of his pockets, according to a police report.
