East Liverpool crime activity: Residents report stolen TVs and checks

Sunday, Dec. 30

6:12 p.m. – Lisbon Street, Zak Birkhimer, 18, charged with possession of marijuana, loud or defective exhaust, unsafe vehicle and driving without a valid license. According to a police report, Birkhimer was pulled over for having a loud exhaust. Police noted in the report seeing a large crack that covered most of the car’s windshield. Birkhimer had a cellophane bag with several marijuana roaches inside in his pocket, the report states. A 14-year-old was also in the car, according to the report.

Thursday, Jan. 3

5:50 p.m. – 600 block of Sanford St., reported theft. A man told police that he believes his ex-girlfriend broke into his house and stole 10 of his checks.

Friday, Jan. 4

5:23 p.m. – 2100 block of Hazel Alley, reported breaking and entering. The homeowner told police two of her TVs were stolen after someone kicked in the back door of her house.
