Canfield crime activity: Uber driver reports finding cocaine left behind in his car

Wednesday, February 27

9:35 a.m. - 7300 block of N. Palmyra Rd., police said bomb threats were called in to the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center. The school was placed on lockdown, and students were later evacuated. While searching students' cars and backpacks, officers reported finding a 16-year-old with a vape pen and THC oil, a 17-year-old with marijuana, a second 17-year-old with a glass pipe that had marijuana inside and a third 17-year-old with cigarettes, vape pens and vape oils. Anthony Kaczmark, 18, was arrested the next day and charged with making the threats.

Sunday, March 3

1:35 a.m. - 400 block of Fairground Blvd., an Uber driver told police he found a bag of suspected cocaine left behind in his car.

Monday, March 4

7:42 a.m. - Herbert Road and Laurel Hills Lane, Dale Kabetso, 24, charged with drug abuse and drug paraphernalia. An officer said during a traffic stop, he smelled marijuana coming from Kabetso's car. She admitted that there was a pipe and a bag of marijuana inside, according to a police report. The officer said he actually found three bags of marijuana, a blunt and other drug tools. Police said Kabetso had a total of 17 grams of marijuana.

Wednesday, March 6

2:01 p.m. - 7300 block of N. Palmyra Rd., a 15-year-old girl was found with marijuana at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, according to police.
