Canfield crime activity: Officer pulls over out-of-towner and finds meth pipe, police say

Sunday, November 11

3:51 a.m. - 100 block of W. Main St., Willie Powell, 38, of Canton, charged with drug abuse during a traffic stop. Police said they found two blunts containing marijuana on the floor of the car where Powell, a passenger, was sitting. They said Powell also had a baggie of marijuana on him.

Tuesday, November 13

10:34 p.m. - S. Turner and Herbert roads, Anthony Pfaff, 34, of Wickliffe, Ohio, charged with drug paraphernalia. Police said they found a glass meth pipe and digital scale with white powder on it during a traffic stop.

Friday, November 16

8:57 a.m. - 7300 block of N. Palmyra Rd., police said a 16-year-old boy admitted to smoking marijuana on the way to school. He told them he had some left over in his backpack, which police found, according to a report. Police contacted the juvenile court.

8:05 p.m. - Fairview Avenue and Maple Street, Austin Beatty, 18, of Boardman, charged with drug abuse and drug paraphernalia. An officer said she smelled marijuana and saw marijuana paraphernalia -- including a glass pipe and grinder -- in a car during a traffic stop. She said Beatty handed her marijuana seeds and THC oils for vaping.
