Monday, Feb. 11
7:54 p.m. – 6100 block of Mahoning Ave., Elijah Taylor, 39, charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ramona Milender-Jordan, 49, charged with complicity to theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ciera Buckner, 30, arrested on a warrant and charged with theft. Police pulled over a vehicle during an investigation into a reported theft at Home Depot. Police said Buckner was found to have multiple warrants for her arrest, and she admitted to pushing a shopping cart full of power tools out of the store without paying for them. Police said Taylor was with Buckner at the time and was aware of the theft. Police said suspected heroin was found on Buckner’s seat, and Milender-Jordan admitted to having glass pipes hidden in her body cavity. The tools and other drug items were collected as evidence, according to a police report.
Wednesday, Feb. 13
4:07 p.m. – 6000 block of Mahoning Ave., John Pinkerton, 25, and Jacob Graham, 33, both of Beloit, each charged with theft. Graham was also charged with drug abuse. Police said the men tried stealing clothes from JCPenney. Graham was found with a folded up bill with methamphetamine inside, according to a police report.
Thursday, Feb. 14
8:57 a.m. – 3700 block of Monaca Ave., reported theft from a vehicle.
Saturday, Feb. 16
4:31 p.m. – 200 block of Westminster Ave., Kayla Carr, 29, of Girard, arrested and charged with assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. Police were called to investigate a reported fight between family members and said Carr was standing in the middle of the road, yelling at people in the driveway of a home. Police said she refused to get out of the roadway, telling officers, “Just f***ing shoot me like you do all black people.” According to a police report, Carr kicked an officer during her arrest and tried to spit on several deputies.
Sunday, Feb. 17
2:49 a.m. – Raccoon and Viall roads, Dylan Walters, 24, arrested and charged with OVI, driving under suspension, texting while driving and failure to obey traffic control devices. Police said Walters overshot a stop light and was looking down at his phone while other drivers honked at him. Walters told officers he knew he was texting and driving and that he was texting a girl who wanted to have sex with him, according to a police report. Police said he also admitted to drinking.
Wednesday, Feb. 20
10:56 p.m – 1300 block of Maplecrest Dr., Tommie and Jonathan Trent, 43, each charged with child endangering. Police said their 11-year-old son found them unresponsive and called 911. Jonathan admitted to snorting heroin while Tommie said she must have had a seizure, according to a police report. Children Services was contacted.
