Austintown crime activity: Police say woman stabbed man in the chest

Thursday, Oct. 11

4:42 a.m. – 5400 block of Seventy Six Drive, Martin Eberth IV, charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated. Police were called on reports of a man passed out on a bench in front of a business. Police say when they made contact with Eberth, he was slurring and mumbling his words and needed help standing. The report also states he would not provide information for someone to pick him up.

Sunday, Oct. 14

5:55 p.m. – Police arrested Randall Vecchio on three active warrants.

Monday, Oct. 15

2:38 p.m. – 6000 block of Mahoning Ave., Desiree Thompson, charged with theft. Police say they received calls that Thompson was shoplifting from Walmart.

6:30 p.m. – 3700 block of Burkey Rd., Stephanie Fox, 33, charged with felonious assault. According to a police report, Fox was involved in an argument with a man that turned physical and she stabbed him in his chest. Police say the man’s left lung collapsed and began filling with air and blood and that he also suffered from broken ribs.

10:18 p.m. – 4200 block of Mahoning Ave., John Yeager, charged with drug possession. Police say they received a call from an employee at Save-A-Step that Yeager was upset they would not sell him beer because he was already intoxicated. In response, he began throwing beer across the floor and yelling, a police report states. Yeager then left the store and police found him walking, at which time they found a baggie of marijuana on him, the report also states.
