Austintown crime activity: Police say suspected drunk driver was driving with no tire

Sunday, Feb. 17

4:32 a.m. – 5800 block of Yorktown Ln., Michael Ciambrone, 34, cited for a barking dog complaint. Police said Ciambrone admitted to letting the dog out and then falling asleep.

6:51 p.m. – Mahoning Avenue and Westchester Drive, Ryan Komara, 27, of Negley, charged with possession of dangerous drugs; Christy Rohn, charged with obstructing official business, failure to display plates and improper child restraints. Police stopped a vehicle and said it didn’t have license plates and the children inside were not properly restrained. Police said Rohn began yelling at officers during the investigation and refused to calm down. Police said they found pills in the vehicle and Komara was unable to provide a valid prescription for them.

Friday, Feb. 22

12:49 p.m. – 2200 block of Penny Ln., Martin Planey, 48, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Police said Planey grabbed a woman by the neck and pulled her hair during an argument over tax refund money. A 13-year-old girl in the home at the time intervened, according to a police report. Police said the victim had redness on her neck.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

12:40 a.m. – Paisley Street and Maureen Drive, Lorraine Latone, 59, arrested and charged with OVI, left of center and driving an unsafe vehicle. Police said Latone was driving a vehicle that was missing a tire, had another flat tire and was scuffed on the bumper. Police said Latone appeared to be intoxicated and was unaware of the damage to the vehicle. She had a blood-alcohol content of .174, above the legal limit of .08, according to a police report.
