Austintown crime activity: Police report finding drugs during traffic stop

Saturday, December 22 

8:20 a.m. - 2000 block of S. Raccoon Road, Dollar General employees reported that a woman was shoplifting from the store. Police looked for the suspect but could not find her. 

Tuesday, January 1

9:39 p.m. - N. Meridian Road, Jade Antonelli, charged with possessing drug abuse instruments and paraphernalia, drug abuse and permitting drug abuse in a motor vehicle; and Samantha Young, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse. Police say they pulled over a vehicle with Young and Antonelli in it and found a syringe, a burnt spoon, a razor, a shoelace and suspected heroin.

Wednesday, January 2

7:20 p.m. - 100 block of Fifth Ave., Youngtown, Jamar Grove, 22, arrested on an active warrant. Police say in January of 2018, Grove used the services of Fab Cab 4 U but did not pay the fare. The cab driver said she took Grove to the welfare office in Youngstown and then a temporary employment agency in Boardman before he asked her to drop him off at an apartment to get cash for the fare. She said he never returned to the car.
