Austintown crime activity: Firefighters respond to fire, report pot in woman's home

Saturday, Nov. 3

11:40 p.m. - 3800 block of Bryant Dr., Joseph Marriotti, 28, charged with disorderly conduct. Police responded to a call about a man barking like a dog and swinging an ax at the end of his driveway. According to a report, witnesses claimed Marriotti began hitting his vehicle with the ax and had very loud music playing in the garage. Police said he seemed intoxicated.

Monday, Nov. 5

5:49 p.m. - 400 block of S. Raccoon Rd., Nicole Lamb, 26, charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. According to a police report, firefighters responded to a fire at Lamb's residence and noticed a glass bong and marijuana inside. They contacted police.

Tuesday, Nov. 6

3:08 p.m. - 100 block of S. Beverly Ave., Melissa Silman, 43, charged with domestic violence. Police said Silman got into a physical fight with her 67-year-old mother and hit her repeatedly. According to a report, a family member tried to intervene but Silman cut his clothes up with a knife.

Wednesday, Nov. 7

1:24 a.m. - 800 block of Canfield Niles Road, Zaa-von Hameed, 21, charged with falsification. According to a police report, Hameed gave police the wrong name during a traffic stop.
