Accidents around the Valley blamed on slippery roads

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two cars collided Monday morning on Youngstown’s east side.

The accident happened near the corner of the Albert and Star streets.

Youngstown police on the scene say slippery roads are to blame.

Tow trucks were also busy Monday responding to wrecks and helping to pull cars out of ditches and snow banks.

A vehicle also ran off the road and into the woods off of Route 82 in Warren.

A fatal accident was reported in Lawrence County on Route 422. The driver of a car went left of center into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer. One person was killed.
