GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania – Zelva L. Tate, 85, of 339 East Jamestown Road, Greenville (West Salem Township), passed away on Wednesday night, January 31, 2018 at St. Paul’s.

She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on June 10, 1932 to the late Fred and Myrtle (Pollock) Headley.

Zelva worked in the meat department of the former Sanitary Market in Greenville and the housekeeping department at the Greenville Hospital.

She was a long-time resident of St. Paul’s where she enjoyed attending church services and playing bingo. She also enjoyed trips to casinos and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was married to C. Benjamin Tate on October 12, 1953 and he preceded her in death on November 19, 1988.

Zelva is survived by three sons, Red Headley and his wife, Nancy, Kenneth Tate and his wife, Joy and Rodney Tate and his wife, Hannah, all of Jamestown; a daughter, Sharon Palm and her husband, Jim, of Jamestown; three brothers, James Holler and his wife, Mary Lou, of Jamestown, Ronald Holler and his wife, Nancy, of Conneautville, Pennsylvania and Donald Holler and his wife, Ruth, of Mercer; three half-sisters; ten grandchildren, Jeff Headley and his wife, Kim, Rodney Bates and his wife, Amber, Ryan Tate, Rachelle McLaughlin and her husband, Nate, Greg Tate, Stephanie DeChance and her husband, Shane, Kendra Tate, Jodi Legg and her husband, Cory, Benjamin Tate and his wife, Ashley and Julie Germino and her husband, Mike and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, three half-sisters and three half-brothers.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 3, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 73-75 Columbia Avenue, Greenville, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. William G. Kirker, Director of Spiritual Services at St. Paul’s, officiating.

Burial will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery in Jamestown.
