A memorial service in honor of Mr. William N. McGeorge will be held Friday, Saturday 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Washington Funeral Home. Mr. McGeorge known to his family and friends as “Nate” departed this life on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at his residence in Youngstown.
William was born February 25, 1954, in Roanoke, Virginia, a son of Lucy Jones Carter and William Gravely.
He proudly served in the United States Army and was formerly employed with General Motors for over 12 years.
He was an avid sports fan and he especially enjoyed boxing. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Jermaine and Rhonda Williams; his companion, Florine Williams; his siblings, Michael (Brenda) McGeorge Rock Island, Illinois, Schon Gravely and his companion, Phyllis Wilson both of Youngstown, Ohio, Catherine Jones Harris of Youngstown, Ohio, Michele Scott of Atlanta, Georgia and Jacqueline (Michael) Le’Mon of Vienna, Ohio; his grandchildren whom he helped raise, Juilian Russell, Dwayne Williams, Domonique Williams, Diaja Williams and Diamond Williams; four great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfathers who raised him, Hillard Jones, Joseph Carter; his brothers, Donald McGeorge and his stepbrother, Melvin Jones.
