Joscelin M. (Ellyson) Hobbs, age 37 died at 6:02 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Medical Center.
She was born January 26, 1982 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of Michael and Lisa (Harris) Ellyson.
Joscelin was a graduate of United Local High School and attended Kent State University.
She was a member of the Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, was an Ohio State Buckeyes and Steubenville Big Red fan and enjoyed listening to Rush Limbaugh. Joscelin enjoyed living in Honolulu, Hawaii and traveling abroad where she toured Sicily, Italy. Her true passion was cooking, baking and collecting new recipes.
Survivors include her parents, Michael and Lisa Ellyson of Kensington; two brothers, Travis (Kelly) Ellyson of East Rochester and Tyler (Lacey) Ellyson of Kensington; paternal grandparents, Charles and Marjorie Ellyson of East Rochester; maternal grandparents, Charles and JoAnn Harris of Salem; niece and nephews Cole, Trent, Dallas and Brinely and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Salem and 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 15 at the church prior to services.
Burial will be held at Mount Zion Cemetery in Lisbon.
A television tribute will air Thursday, February 14 at the following approximate times: 6:41 a.m. WYTV and 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
