SALEM, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Ada Marie Bailey, age 95, of Salem, Ohio went home to be with Jesus at Bel Air Care Center in Alliance on February 13, 2023.
Born the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Yoder) Slabaugh, Ada was one of 15 children.
She was employed at Rodis Gin Mill for many years as a bartender then at BB Rooners until retirement as a bartender. She was well liked at her jobs and always had a smile for her customers.
Ada loved her cat, Toby. She loved her family even more. She dedicated her life in the service of her husband and children. She especially loved her grandchildren and in later years her grea-t grandchildren.
She was a member of Phillips Christian Church, doing service with the many children there for many years. Her faith was a beacon of hope for the many lives she touched over the span of her life.
Ada loved good books, flowers and game shows as well as vacations with family.
Ada is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth (Slabaugh) Tombow and Dorothy (Slabaugh) Brown; brother, Harold Slabaugh; her daughters, Sharon (Thomas) Burgess Hearn, Debbie (Thomas) Burgess Csepke, and Mary (Jerry) Bailey Wilkat; her sons Stephen (Kim) Bailey, Mark Bailey, Daniel (Amy) Bailey, and Clyde Bailey Jr. Ada has 17 grandchildren,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Bailey; son, Jeffrey Bailey; son-in-law, Thomas Csepke; daughters, Faye Bailey and Barbara (Burgess) McLin; two grandchildren, Chad Csepke and Connie Dudley; and 11 of her siblings.
Ada’s service will be held at Stark Memorial Funeral Home, with Pastor Ben Rosser officiating. Calling hours will be Friday February 17, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and her funeral service on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call one hour prior to service for last visitations. A chapel service and burial will be held at Hope Cemetery.
A celebration of life luncheon will be held immediately following the chapel service at Realife Church, 12824 Salem Warren Road, Salem, Ohio. All are welcome to join the family.
