Sharman Diane Callahan, 67, died at 3:20 p.m., Monday, January 7, 2019, at the Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 19, 1951, in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Jean (Saltsman) Martin.
Sharman had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. James Lehwald, Jr., for three years and Dr. Gene Schaefer for 20 years.
She is Presbyterian by faith.
Sharman was a 1969 graduate of Western Reserve High School, four-year majorette, one of the very few people to play contrabass clarinet in a high school concert band and a member of the VFW Auxiliary Ellsworth Post 9571.
Sharman loved to golf.
Survivors include her husband, Michael D. Callahan, whom she married April 19, 1986; a brother, Steve (Nadine) Martin of Canfield; a niece, Andrea Martin and a nephew, Ben Martin.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
