YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) - A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Saints Cyril and Methodius Church, for Ruth Ann Bolan, 80, of Youngstown, who died on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
Ruth Ann was born on March 15, 1938 in Toledo to the late Woodrow Willis Wilson and Faustina Ruth Elling.
On November 22, 1958 she was united in marriage to Robert David Bolan at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Toledo, Ohio.
Her life was fruitful indeed. She was involved in the Youngstown Vocational Support Society, the Slovak Federation, Cafe Augustine, mission trips and the restoration of Smoky Hollow. Ruth was a hard working problem solver. She enjoyed puzzles, art, gardening, thrift stores and garage sales.
As a devoted Catholic she gave her life fully to the Lord, praising God even in the midst of pain and hardship. She was a lover of life and a seeker for truth. The legacy she leaves behind is one of selfless love and the will to joyfully serve Christ.
Ruth is survived by her husband and their 11 children, Anne (David) Mueller, Sarah Floor, Elizabeth Bolan, Robert (Marsha) Bolan, Theresa (Robert) Rider, Thomas (Ruth) Bolan, Michael Bolan, Salvador Bolan, Catherine Bolan, Maria (Daniel) Piliero and Rosemary (Robert) Wagner; 27 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and brother, Roy (Kathleen) Wilson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death her brother, Willard Wilson and granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Floor.
Rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m., visitation from 9:00 - 10:50 a.m. and Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in the Gathering Space at Saints Cyril and Methodist Church, 252 E. Wood Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44503.
Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery immediately following services.
