Rosalind “Roz” Anne Hopfenziz, 72, of Leetonia, died on Friday, November 2, 2018, at Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born on October 2, 1946, in Montreal, Canada, a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Ruby Jasper Clarke.
Rosalind was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leetonia.
She loved spending time with her family and friends and traveling with her husband, Frank. Mostly, Roz loved being a grandmother and always enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.
She is survived by her husband, Frank W. Hopfenziz, whom she married on July 12, 1968; two sons, Mark T. (Malinda) Hopfenziz of Columbia, Missouri and Michael L. (Melissa) Hopfenziz of Columbiana; brother, David (Trudy) Clarke of Montreal, Canada and a sister, Judy (Pat) Martin of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Amanda (Mark Chapman) Shepard, Bobby and Lee Burnip, Matthew (fiancée, Danyelle McMaster) Hopfenziz, Olivia and Erik Hopfenziz; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, November 8, 2018, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Cindi Midlick, officiating.
