HEMPFIELD TWP., PA (MyValleyTributes) – Paul M. Leskovac, age 78, of Fairway Drive, Hempfield Township, passed away Tuesday morning, April 16, 2019.
He was born in Greenville on May 5, 1940 to Peter P. and Mary Ann (Balaban) Leskovac.
Paul was a 1958 graduate of St. Michael High School and served as an MP in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961.
He was employed from 1962-1992 as a criminal investigator with the Pennsylvania State Police, from 1992-1998; he was a hearing officer for Mercer County Court House Domestic Relations and from 1998-2007 he worked as van driver and support person for Sharon Regional Health System Behavioral Health.
Paul was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, where he served as an usher.
He was a member of Greenville Family Moose Center #276 and his hobbies included, walking, gardening and taking care of his yard.
On April 4, 1964 he married the former Barbara Anne Campbell, she survives.
Also survivng are a daughter, Lynn M. Zidek and her husband, Michael, of Butler; a son, Christopher P. Leskovac and his wife, Kelly, of Greenville; four sisters, Beverly Stroup of Chicora, Pennsylvania, Carol Straw of Jamestown, Rose Mary Leskovac of Greenville and Maria Cowher of Magnolia, Texas; two brothers, Michael Leskovac of Greenville and Peter Leskovac of Acworth, Georgia and two grandchildren, Michael Zidek and Christopher Zidek.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, 2019 in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, with Fr. Vincent Zidek as celebrant. Greenville VFW Post #3374 will render military honors at the conclusion of the Mass.
Family will receive friends immediately following the Mass in the Gathering Space of the church and the family invites all in attendance to a luncheon in the church social hall.
Inurnment will be in America’s Cemetery, Hermitage.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 85 N. High Street, Greenville, PA 16125.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main Street, Greenville.
A television tribute will air Friday, April 19 at the following approximate times: 6:41 a.m. WYTV and 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
