SHARON, PA (MyValleyTributes) - Matthew R. Womer, of Sharon, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 8, 2019, as a result of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was 26.
Matt was born September 30, 1992, in Sharon, a son of Wade R. Womer and Linda Ann Christie.
He attended Sharon High School, where he was a member of the wrestling team. He graduated from Keystone Education Center, Greenville, where he was a member of the Reynolds High School varsity football team and wrestling team.
Following high school, Matt enrolled at L.T.I., Sharon, where he earned his certification as a pharmacy technician.
He was employed by Sharon Regional Medical Center, working as a pharmacy technician for several years.
Matt was of the Christian faith.
A talented artist, he enjoyed drawing and singing. He also liked to go fishing and spend time with his family. Most importantly, he loved being with his son, Ilan.
In addition to his parents, Matt is survived by his son, Ilan Womer; his grandmother, Kathy Foreman, Reynolds; his grandfather, Don Christie, Sharon; a sister, Amanda Christie and her fiancé, Joshua Lennon, Hermitage and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Matt was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joseph Womer; paternal grandfather, William L. Womer and maternal grandmother, Edna L. Christie.

Calling hours will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday, February 18 in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 E. State Street, Sharon.
Memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home following visitation on Monday, February 18.
