AUSTINTOWN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Funeral services celebrating the life of Gloria F. Martin, 74, will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 12, 2019, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
Gloria passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2019, in the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born August 30, 1944, in Clay County, West Virginia, the daughter of Leon and Ella (Koch) Parsons.
Gloria was a graduate of North High School and had worked as a clerk with Stambaugh Thompson, in the office of Dr. John Conti and was also the co-owner of Rumors Lounge, T-Mar Lounge and Angela’s Pizza.
Gloria’s hobbies included ceramics, gardening and QVC. Most importantly, Gloria loved to spend time with her family; especially her “favorite girl”, her great-granddaughter, Elizabeth.
Her husband, Paul E. Martin, whom she married October 12, 1963, passed away in March of 2000.
She leaves her son, Paul Martin and his wife, Lisa, of Liberty Township; two grandsons, Paul A. Martin and his wife, Jane, of Hudson and Dr. Zachary Martin and his fiancée, Carly Cantelmi, of Wadsworth; one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Martin; as well as, three sisters, Charlotte (Allen) Schaechtel of Mabelvale, Arizona, Linda (Ron) Shields of Clancy, Minnesota and Phyllis (John) Gearhart of Fishers, Illinois.
Besides her parents and husband, Paul, Gloria is preceded in death by a brother, Roger Parsons and a sister, Mary Kalvoda.
Friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 12, 2019, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, where services will begin at 11:00 a.m.
