HOWLAND, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Frank G. Nameth, age 76, passed away Tuesday, April 30 at the Louis Stokes VA Hospital in Cleveland.
Frank was born October 9, 1942 in Dun Glenn, Ohio to the late George Nameth and Stella and Bill Gavorcik.
Frank worked in the maintenance department at Lincoln Electric in Mentor for 26 years, retiring in 1992.
Frank was a Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served the U.S. Air Force for 28 years as First Sergeant of the 910 CES, YMA in Vienna, retiring in 1992 as well.
Frank enjoyed hunting, traveling and gambling.
Frank was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Vienna, Life Member of Disabled American Veterans, Life Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, member of American Legion Post 51 in Hubbard, member of the Lake Erie Dart Association, past member of the Cleveland Dart League, past coach of the Wickliffe Midget Football League, past coach of the Wickliffe Baseball League and past member of the Wickliffe Softball Association.
Besides his parents, Frank is preceded in death by brother, Stanley Nameth.
He is survived by his wife, Mary L. (Cline) Nameth, who he married November 24, 1999. His sons, Walter George (Mary Beth) Nameth and Scott Edward (Jeanette) Nameth; stepchildren, Ronald (Amy) Newcomb, Theresa (Jim) Rhine and Brad (Erika) Newcomb; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Frank also leaves a brother, Joe Nameth and sister-in-law, Sandra Nameth; as well as, several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 3 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE in Warren.
Funeral service will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4 at the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Frank Zanni officiant and Pastor Tom Badanjek eulogist.
Interment in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
