AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – There will be a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, at St. Joseph’s Church, for Daniel Anthony Ganley, 85, who passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.
Daniel was born on January 9, 1934, in Cleveland, a son of the late Benedict C. and Pauline (Goldyn) Ganley.
Daniel was a salesman for Western Publishing Company (publishers of children’s Golden Books) and Rand McNally for many years.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church.
He was an avid golfer and bowler and participated in various leagues.
He founded the St. Joseph’s Golf League with Vic Rozzi in the 1970’s.
Daniel’s interests included oriental cooking, wine and beer brewing and mystery novels. He also created custom golf clubs. He was always ready with a joke and a smile.
Daniel will be greatly missed by family and friends including his wife, the former Josephine Pasqua, whom he married on September 2, 1956; his daughter, Debra Cooper of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Tessa Cooper and Patrick Cooper; siblings, Thomas (Eleanor) Ganley and Bernadette (Roger) Lentz; several nieces and nephews and a great-niece and great-nephew.
Besides his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his sister, Judy.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8 until the time of the mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church.
