EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Kenneth W. Riggle, 85, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Masternick Memorial Health Center in New Middletown.
He was born January 18, 1935 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, son of the late James and Helen Lambert Riggle.
Ken was a lifelong resident of Beaver and Columbiana Counties. He attended Beaver, Pennsylvania High School and Geneva College.
He was employed at Westinghouse, then later at Conrail (Norfolk Southern) for 20 years as a communications engineer prior to his retirement in 1999.
He was a Lutheran by faith, a U.S.. Navy veteran and active in amateur radio, where he was known as call sign W3FCQ.
Kenneth loved motorcycles and muscle cars most especially Harley Davidsons and Mustangs.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Kathy Rhodes Riggle; son, Robert (Patty) Riggle of Beaver Falls; daughter, Debby (Bill) Kroll of Sterritt Island, Florida, Marci (Randy) Morris of Lisbon; stepson, Edward (Alyssa) Young of Green Acres, Florida; stepdaughter, Cynthia Knight of Beaver Falls; stepsister, Patricia Goodwin of New Hampshire; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 24, 2020 evening from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m.
A private interment will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery at a later date.
