WARREN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Kenneth E. Smith 96, of Warren Ohio, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, June 17, 2019.  

The son of the late Clyde and Mildred (Weaver) Smith, was born on June 20, 1922 in Barberton, Ohio.

Kenneth was employed by Taylor Winfield as a machinist.  

He was a member of the Old Erie Lodge #3, F&AM Mailing, Boy Scouts of America Leader and Alibi Grotto.  

Kenneth was Jack of all trade and a  master woodcrafter. He enjoyed gardening; as well as, fishing for record Muskie at West Branch Reservoir.

Memories of Kenneth will be carried on by his brother, Donald (Joan) Smith of Leesburg, Florida and his sister, Marilyn (Don) Meyers of Dover, Ohio; as well as, his daughters, Sandra (George) Thompson and Karen Hurst of Warren Ohio; son, Ron (Sandra) Smith of Valrico, Florida; grandchildren, Eric (Michelle) Mauk, Michael (Kerry) Mauk, Ryan Wilkerson, Courtney Wilkerson, Kris (Brian Sass-Hurst), Nick Hurst, Miranda (Cory) Carpenter and Sarah Smith; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; as well as, Kenneth’s companion Chic’s children.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Clyde and Mildred Smith; wife, Annabell; son, Kenneth Smith, Jr.; sister, Marjorie Gandy and loving companion, Chic Riffle.

Service will be held at Todd Avenue Methodist Church on Sunday, June 23 at 1:00 p.m., located at 155 Todd Avenue NW, Warren OH 44485.

Masonic service to be performed by member of the Old Erie Lodge #3 and Church Service to follow, performed by Pastor’s Tom Badjanick and Rick France

In lieu of flower the family has asked that contributions be made in Kenneth’s name to MVI Hospice of Youngstown, 4891 Belmont Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44505.

His arrangements have been entrusted to the McFarland-Barbee Family Funeral Home.

A television tribute will air Thursday, June 20 at the following approximate times:
6:41 a.m. WYTV and 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
