GREENVILLE, PA (MyValleyTributes) – June I. Lekon, age 96, of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019, after a brief illness.
She was born in the Cleveland, Ohio area on April 24, 1923. She has been a resident at St. Paul’s Senior Living Community for the past four years.
Mrs. Lekon was the loving wife of the late, Alexander Lekon, who she married on February 18, 1950. June will be laid to rest beside him in the Shenango Valley Cemetery.
She is survived by their four daughters, Gail (Terry), Carol (Nick), Alice (Joe) and Barbara (Greg); six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Her parents and sister are deceased.
June and her family moved to Greenville in 1971, where she enjoyed various volunteer activities and worked as a bookkeeper for Mr. Cooper in his appliance store. During their many years of retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Lekon made numerous trips to Florida to visit friends and family. June also traveled with her daughters to Ireland and Hawaii.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Paul’s for the loving care she received during the time she lived there.

A remembrance service will be held at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 73-75 Columbia Avenue, Greenville, at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, with Pastor Julia Fraser, chaplain of St. Paul’s, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home.
