Services will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Conley and Vanden Berg Funeral Home on Midlothian Boulevard for Juawon “The Great One” Fields who departed this life on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Fields was born May 4, 1985 in Youngstown, Ohio to Debra Hickson and Earnest Fields.
He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in 2004 and attended YSU, majoring in business management.
Juawon was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and gamer, his online moniker was “Y-Towns Finest”. He enjoyed spending time with his children, family and friends. Most of all he loved his Aunt Niecy’s mac & cheese. Juawon played football for the Volney Rogers Football Organization as a “Panther”.
As a child he gave his life to God and was a member of The Metro Assembly of God.
Juawon leaves to cherish his memory his parents; the love of his life, Ashlinn Sykes; sons, Ja’Lon Stanford and Aveon Jackson; daughters, Jayanna Fields, Jameila Armstrong and Tariana Helms; Aunt Loraine D. McKinnon; uncles, Richard Hickson, Leslie Hickson and Joseph Fields and grandfather, Alfred Williams, Jr.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Joeann Williams who raised him; grandfathers, Earnest Fields, Sr. and Mark Rivers Jackson and a cousin, Marquita Hickson.
Family and friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Friday, September 28 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the directors at the Conley and Vanden Berg Funeral Home.
A television tribute will air Thursday, September 27 at the following approximate times: 6:41 a.m. WYTV and 8:41 a.m. MyYTV and 9:58 a.m. on FOX plus two additional spots throughout the day.
