Josephine J. (Jellots) Humphrey, of Greenville, Pennsylvania, passed away after an extended illness at 9:40 a.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in The Grove at Greenville. She was 75.
On January 16, 1943, Josephine was born in Republic, Pennsylvania, a daughter to Sarah (Satonica) Fischer and Peter Jellots.
After graduating from Jamestown High School in 1960, Josephine went on to work at G.C. Murphy’s and Ames Department Stores as an assistant manager for 35 years. She also waitressed at the Greenville Dinor for eight years.
Mrs. Humphrey was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist.
Besides her mother, Josephine is survived by her daughter, Marcie Kehler and her husband, Michael, of Mercer, Pennsylvania; sons, Darrin E. Adams of Greenville and Mark E. Adams of Transfer, Pennsylvania; a sister, Marlene Daugherty of Columbus, Wisconsin; a brother, Michael Jellots of Avon Springs, Florida; four grandchildren, Brytany C. DiClaudio, Matthew C. Adams, Zachary M. Kehler and Hunter M. Adams and one great-grandchild, Gianna I. DiClaudio.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Charles Humphrey; a sister, Pauline Jellots and a grandson, Matthew Adams.
In keeping with Josephine’s wishes, there will not be any services.
Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Greenville, Pennsylvania.
