GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Violet Rose (McVicker) Buck, nicknamed Suzy Q or Sue, as most people knew her, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 24, 2020 from natural causes at St. Paul’s Senior Living Community in Greenville, Pennsylvania. She was 92.
Sue was born in Nortonville, Kansas on December 13, 1927 to Joel and Cora (Foster) McVicker.
Sue was a hard worker in whatever she did. She worked many years at the Santa Fe Hospital in Topeka, Kansas as a nurse and later as a private nurse. She was a Beeline Fashion stylist, a volunteer in many organizations including the VA hospital, homemaker, mom, frandmother, great-grandmother and partner in life with her husband, Ervin who preceded her in death in January. Sue and Ervin were married 75 years.
Her favorite part of life was being around her family, drinking a glass of wine, listening to Elvis Presley and dancing with Ervin.
Surviving her are her children, Karen Knight (Jim) and Ken Buck (Maryann); eight grandchildren, Sara Buck, Allison Squatrito (Jim), Sean Buck (Jim), Angela Buck (Carl), Tracey Forcier (Kevin), Scott Condren (Jeannot), Katy Buck (Mike) and Aaron Buck and two great-grandchildren, Makayla and Miley Squatrito.
Her parents and all siblings have preceded her in death.
We will miss her encouraging smile, warm hugs of love and fun times together.
Family services and burial will be in Meade, Kansas.
Arrangements are being handled by John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
