PYMATUNING TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (MyValleyTributes) – Steve Vecheren Sr., 74, of Pymatuning Township, passed away at 4:17 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Sharon Regional Medical Center, after an extended illness.
Steve was born on July 19, 1946, in Sharon, to the late Caroline (Mikulin) and Ivan Vecheren.
He graduated from Farrell High School in 1964.
Steve worked at Sharon Coating as a crane man for 15 years, retiring in 2017.
He enjoyed playing pool and going to the casinos.
Steve is survived by daughters, Anna Zmuda and her husband, Mark, of Arizona and Veronica Miller and her husband, Dann, of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; sons, Jason Vecheren and his wife, Jamie, of Sharon and Steve Vecheren, Jr., of Transfer; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Nicholas and Ivan “Junior” Vecheren.
Visitation will be held 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3 in the John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2630 E. State Street, Hermitage. A Memorial Service will begin at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. C. Charles Eckles officiating.
Burial will be in America’s Cemetery.
A television tribute will air Thursday, December 3 at the following approximate times: 7:10 a.m. on FOX, 12:22 p.m. on WKBN, 5:08 p.m. on MyYTV and 7:27 p.m. on WYTV.
